Summary: As an Application Developer, you will engage in the design, construction, and configuration of applications tailored to fulfill specific business processes and application requirements. Your typical day will involve collaborating with team members to understand project needs, developing innovative solutions, and ensuring that applications are optimized for performance and usability. You will also participate in testing and debugging processes to deliver high-quality applications that meet user expectations and business goals. Roles & Responsibilities: - Testing: You should have knowledge of the testing pyramid and should know about unit testing, integration testing, and automated testing using popular frameworks like JUnit and Mockito.Databases - Working experience and optimization techniques with Oracle, PostgreSQL and DB2. - APIs/Integration - You should be proficient in creating, designing and consuming APIs utilizing microservice architecture on Cloud.Performance - Optimization: Knowledge of performance optimization techniques such as profiling, benchmarking, and memory management to improve application performance. - Agile Development: You should have experience in Agile software development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, and tools like Jira, Git, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools. - Security: Understanding of security concepts such as authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure coding practices. - Cloud/Containerisation/Kubernetes: This has become a must for all modern applications and understanding of Kubernetes and basic kubectl commands. - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems. - Assist in the documentation of application specifications and user guides. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide technical insights. Professional & Technical Skills: - Deep understanding of Java programming, good communication skill, Team player. - A good foundation in core Java programming concepts such as object-oriented programming, exception handling, collections, multi-threading and garbage collection. - Java Frameworks: A good understanding of popular Java frameworks like Spring or Quarkus to build enterprise applications on Cloud. - Software architecture, System design and Design Patterns: A good understanding and hands-on experience in implementing software design patterns. - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Java Enterprise Edition. - Good To Have Skills: Experience with Spring Framework, Hibernate, and RESTful web services. - Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles. - Familiarity with database management systems and SQL. - Experience in application deployment and cloud services. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Java Enterprise Edition. - This position is based at our Hyderabad office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
