We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Lead to drive operational excellence, improve performance, and support plant leadership in building a culture of continuous improvement. This role is ideal for a hands-on, analytical problem solver who is passionate about Lean methodologies, team engagement, and driving measurable results. 

 

What You’ll Do: 

This role is responsible for leading continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance across the operation.  

On any given day, you will: 

  • Lead and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies  

  • Drive implementation of tools such as 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, and PDCA  

  • Analyze operational data to identify waste, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities  

  • Partner with plant leadership and frontline employees to implement process improvements  

  • Develop and maintain visual management systems and standard work  

  • Support development of efficient material flow and production processes (PFEP, cell design)  

  • Conduct shop floor observations across shifts to assess performance and identify gaps  

  • Facilitate problem-solving through root cause analysis and structured improvement plans  

  • Train and coach employees on continuous improvement tools and principles  

  • Track and report progress against performance metrics and savings targets

What We’re Looking For: 

We’re seeking a driven, collaborative individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a passion for continuous improvement. 

Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required  

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial environments  

  • Experience with Lean methodologies and continuous improvement tools  

  • Strong communication and ability to influence across all levels of the organization  

  • Analytical mindset with strong organizational and time management skills  

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) 

Preferred: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field  

  • Experience implementing Lean systems (Kanban, PFEP, visual management)  

  • Background in cross-functional collaboration and project-based work  

  • Exposure to plant leadership interactions and operational strategy 

 

Work Environment: 

  • Significant time spent on the shop floor in an industrial environment  

  • Exposure to equipment, noise, and varying weather conditions  

  • Physical activity including walking, climbing, and lifting (up to 50 lbs 

  • Required use of PPE and adherence to all safety standards 

 

Site Specific Details:

  • Location: Miles City, Montana

  • Shift: Primarily First Shift, 6:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday

  • Compensation: Base Salary: $85,000 - $90,000

69,750.00 - 85,250.00
