Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
7 to 10 years of job-related work experience
Preferred Experience & Skills:
Public Accounting (Audit) / Manufacturing background
Experience working with large ERP systems; JD Edwards experience is a plus
Solid cost accounting experience with extensive/complex product lines
CPA, MBA, MACC - all a plus
Proven track record of leading and influencing others
Key Responsibilities:
This position requires working onsite in the Williamsburg facility.
Proactively manage plant accounting functions, including oversight of accounting personnel, inventory valuations, manufacturing cost accounting, reporting/analysis, and forecasting/budgeting
Protect plant assets through the development and monitoring of internal controls
Oversee the development and maintenance of inventory and operational performance standards
Manage the monthly financial closing process, preparation and review of financial statements, and analysis of variances vs. forecast, standard, and budget
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, inventories, and customer/product profitability reporting
Provide financial analysis to support business decisions regarding investments in capital equipment and plant process improvements
Exhibit strong working knowledge of financial concepts, operational systems, and analytical tools
Demonstrate strong leadership presence in production and business decision-making, along with the ability to positively influence and interpret operational results
Effectively communicate and interact with all levels and functions of the organization
