The Role: Product Owner

The Location: Hyderabad

 The Team: We are seeking a Product Owner with project management and business analysis experience to join one of our Agile Scrum teams.

Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end specification, development, testing, and release of assigned project deliverables for internal software application projects.
  • Participates in the scoping of proposed improvements, and works with Content Managers, Product Managers, or other Project Managers to turn business requirements into actionable developer specifications.
  • Works to mitigate risk while leading tasks, resources, and changes.
  • Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Relies on limited experience and discernment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Define and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Gather and document product requirements and user stories.
  • Manage agile development process and prioritize backlog items.
  • Engage and communicate with stakeholders effectively.
  • Plan and coordinate product launches and drive adoption.
  • Track and analyze product performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for successful product delivery.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 7+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar in a technical environment
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Business) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in an agile development environment.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and user experience (UX) concepts.
  • Familiarity with product management tools, such as AzureDevOps, JIRA, TFS etc.
  • Business acumen and the ability to balance technical constraints with business objectives.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in large, global teams
  • An understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Understanding of the Upstream sector in oil and gas industry is a plus
