About the role

Trading Product Support Engineer to ensure optimal trading performance through robust product technical support and system management. This role combines in-depth knowledge of trading platforms, FIX Protocol, and strong technical skills in SQL, Linux, and shell scripting.

What you will be doing

  • This position works with client experience team including various services and support for FIS capital markets product portfolio, includes order management systems, Exchange connectivity, FIX onboarding, Market data products.
  • Technical Stack Valdi US:
  • OS: UNIX, LINUX, Windows
  • FIX Protocol, Front trade support, SQL, Order management System, Regulatory (FINRA: OATS & CAT)
  • Monitor and support trading system operations and infrastructure to ensure system reliability and performance during market hours.
  • Provide real-time troubleshooting, problem resolution, and client support related to trading system issues.
  • Manage and optimize SQL database queries and scripts to ensure efficient data access and manipulation.
  • Maintain and enhance trading system connectivity and ensure compliance with FIX Protocol standards for communication between entities.
  • Develop and deploy Linux shell scripts to automate tasks and enhance system functionality. Work closely with traders to quickly resolve any technical or operational issues.
  • Collaborate with development teams to help deploy system updates, patches, and new functionalities.
  • Conduct post-trade analysis and reporting to identify potential issues or improvements.
  • Document all incidents and solutions thoroughly for continuous improvement and compliance.

         What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrable experience with Linux, SQL, and shell scripting in a high-demand, real-time environment.
  • Strong knowledge of FIX Protocol and its application in a trading context.
  • Prior experience in a trading support role, preferably in a financial services or trading firm.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate between multiple teams.
