Who We Are
The Office of the Commandant (OOC) serves and supports departments within the Corps of Cadets that are critically engaged in all aspects of student development and the delivery of key services and support. OOC departments work to create environments that help students grow, develop, learn, and enhance their experience at Texas A&M by providing leadership opportunities, experiential education, and connections beyond the classroom. This position will be part of a centralized team that supports the active recruiting efforts of future cadets and their families to Texas A&M and the Corps of Cadets
What We Want
The Corps Regional Representative is responsible for identification, recruitment, and enrollment of prospective students interested in joining the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M University. Serve as mentor and trainer for other staff and serve as lead on select Corps recruitment programs. In addition, the individual in this position is expected to serve as an information resource, support, and backup for Corps Recruiting and provide direct participation and implementation and managing Corps recruitment initiatives and programs in conjunction with Prospective Student Centers in the assigned geographic area.

Salary: $45,000/annually.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree.
No prior experience required.
Required Licenses and Certifications:
Must have a Class “C” vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Ability to work independently with personal time management and schedule management.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Corps of Cadets knowledge.
Ability to do presentations for large audiences, workshops, trainings small group discussions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Computer/database management experience.
Alternate Work Location experience.
Knowledge of financial aid programs and requirements for higher education.
Responsibilities
Outreach, Customer Service, and Consultation
Cultivates and maintains collaborative relationships with prospective students, parents, local community/school stakeholders.
Organizes, implements, and reports on programs/projects, including marketing, accommodations, itineraries, meals, speakers, and records.
Coordinates with high school counselors to facilitate the admissions, financial aid, and scholarship application process.
Implement recruitment activities such as campus trips, presentations, resource tables, application workshops, and designated area projects.
Works directly with prospective students and parents through the entire admissions, scholarship, and financial aid application process.
These duties require the use of a personal or University vehicle.
Training and Development
Develops a working knowledge of university information, opportunities, and policies.
Maintains current federal, state, and institutional policies, procedures, and regulations on financial aid and admissions.
Attends local and state workshops and conferences.
May serve on a university, divisional, and departmental committees.
Attends PSC and admission training.
Program Support
Serves as an information resource, mentor, and support for Corps Recruiting.
Serves as liaison between Prospective Student Center and Corps Recruiting.
Other Requirements and Factors:
Coordinates with stakeholders to schedule presentations and networking opportunities.
Travel – evenings and weekends are required.
