About the department

The Investment Professionals function is responsible for origination, due diligence, and investment of capital into non-investment grade (and typically non-tradable) products. Typically exists within managers or teams that invest in alternative asset classes (e.g., private equity, alternative credit, etc.)

About the role

As the Analyst – Infrastructure Funds you will get the opportunity to be a part of the Concession Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for assisting with origination and asset management of infrastructure investments.

This opportunity includes the analysis of technical, legal and financial information, financial modelling, the performance of quarterly valuations, and various reporting including on ESG, Sustainability.

The position is based in our Amsterdam office, but the role involves working closely with other members of the Concession Infrastructure Team based in other offices across Europe including UK. There will also be occasions when you will get to liaise with teams in Australia, the US and Latin-America.

Key responsibilities

  • Contribute to transacting and the execution of new investment opportunities;

  • Contribute to the ongoing asset management of existing portfolio companies;

  • Analysis of operational reports, board reports, management accounts, counterparty financials, reviewing project models and legal documentation;

  • Conduct quarterly valuations for the portfolio of investments with assistance and supervision and transition to ownership of financial model for quarterly valuation templates;

  • Contribute to the identification and implementation of value enhancement initiatives across investments, including monitoring and measurement of the impacts;

  • Preparation of internal documentation, presentations, reports;

  • Assist in the annual funds external auditing and in the third-party independent asset valuation processes;

  • Assist in the administrative process in relation to tax compliance matters on single investments and funds.

  • Preparation of various reports and financial analysis on single investments and funds;

  • Contribute to relationship management of the project company management teams, co-sponsors and advisors (technical, legal, insurance);

About the candidate requirements

  • Experienced within Project Finance/Infrastructure, preferably with a financial advisory firm, fund or industrial;

  • Strong financial modelling skills. Training in the FAST modelling standard preferred;

  • Knowledge of the PPP or renewable energy infrastructure sector;

  • Knowledge of the PPP legal framework;

  • Strong organisational skills. Ability to multi-task and organise time effectively;

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;

  • Language skills: Fluent in Dutch and English.
