The Opportunity

This position works out of our Bogotá location in the Vascular (AVD) division. Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for treatment of vascular disease.

As the Field Service Engineer II, you’ll have the chance to account contact covering Capital Service and technical support. This position provides on-going proactive capital product support for assigned territory/accounts. Additionally,  the customer experience aspect of this role focuses on increasing customer loyalty and securing retention at assigned accounts. 

What You’ll Do

• Capital Equipment Break/Fix activities

• Capital Equipment Installation & Pre-installation Activities

• Capital Equipment Preventative Maintenance Activities

• Administration (case/workorder closure, expenses, training)

• Other duties as assigned

• Capital Equipment Relocation Activities

Required Qualifications

• Education:  BS degree – Biomedical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• English level: Advanced

Preferred Qualifications

• Years of experience, both overall and any industry-specific experience needed:  3 – 5 years
• Relevant experience with instrumentation in the Cath lab. 
• Experience interface with customers. 
• Prefer capital equipment, imaging/OCT, mechanically inclined, hospital/X-ray equipment experience.
