About the Role

We’re seeking a Senior Leader to join our Corporate Security Team leading operations in APAC. You’ll design, implement, and manage physical security systems to protect our people and facilities in a high-threat environment. Working with global teams, you’ll deliver cost-effective, innovative solutions while upholding the highest standards of security and operational excellence.

Responsibilities 

• Lead security operations team in APAC to include complex access issues, event coverage and incident response (e.g. respond to trespassers, protests, etc.)
• Work with relevant business partners in APAC to deliver security services in a manner that enhances the business and ensures business continuity
• Manage, train and support current CorpSec team in APAC and its staff
• Assist with protection strategies for xAI Team members in APAC with higher risk profiles
• Liaise with relevant law enforcement to proactively identify risks and respond to security incidents that require law enforcement support
• Manage CorpSec travel security program for APAC including travel to high risk areas 
• Lead physical security crisis management efforts for APAC 
• Think critically about our physical security risks to our employees' and facilities and design and implement and manage security that mitigate those risks.
• Working with xAI's Corporate Security team to find, implement and maintain technology based solutions to our very dynamic set of  physical security challenges.
• Managing SOPs and other documentation for system architecture and security system standards.
• Assisting with physical security audits 
• Working with xAI Team members to find confidential technology, uniformed guard or security engineering solutions to address their physical security challenges.
• Mentoring colleagues learn and grow through constructive and supportive feedback sessions.
• Looking for opportunities to grow and learn.

Note: This role may require up to 40% travel and participation in a flexible on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• 12+ years experience in the security industry and relevant field (military / law enforcement) with related university degree / professional certificates
• 5+ years experience in security operations in APAC
• Ability to learn how to, or past experience with, analyzing and visualizing data to create useful metrics for the corporate security team. 
• You’re willing to be periodically part of an out-of-hours on-call schedule
• Prior experience with Crisis Management and leadership with diverse partners. 
• Proven ability to communicate effectively in APAC
