Essential Responsibilities
As the Customer Order Engineering Manager, you will:
Support a successful order transfer by ensuring a proper review of technical specification and seeks clarifications to ensure adequacy and completeness of information required to start engineering (creating Bill of Material and customer drawings)
Study customer’s technical specification to acquire all necessary information to determine the technical configuration/definition of product
Support the Technical Project Managers by identifying any differences in technical definition of product from that offered, and assists TPM for resolution with the customer
Lead Product configuration and creating order BOM (all line items of Sales Order) by using AC1 configurator, as much as possible or if needed, request creation of new material using the MMRD database
Create BOM in SAP sales order (customer order) and notifies the TPM for costing the order, using the Order Tracking Record (OTR) tool. Update OTR to record date on which the sales order BOM is created
Responsible for creation of customer drawings, review and submission for approvals by using E3 and layout drawing using AUTOCAD.
Review drawings (self & peer) to ensure compliance with customer specification and to also ensure consistency between specification, BOM and drawings
Develop a proper system and ensures compliance for accuracy.
Properly communicates key milestones to internal team, i.e. Notify TPM regarding readiness of submission to customer
Ensure proper updates OTR to record date on which drawings are ready for submission and ensures uploading of all drawings in EDMATS as “Preliminary contract drawings”.
Support with customer approvals by providing support to TPM for drawing approvals, participates in technical discussions with customers and facilitates resolutions, including revisions and re-submitting for approval.
Ensure all direct reports are properly uploading (check-in) drawings in EDMATS as “Approved contract drawings”
Engineering change management & notification to manage changes to sales order BOM and drawings using the ECN database ensuring timely notification to all stakeholders and authorization from TPM.
Provide leadership and technical direction for assigned program tasks and personnel
Establish work group goals within framework of section technical and financial objectives
Maintain broad awareness of efforts within group to assure technical quality excellence, timely completion of work and reviews, appropriate use of resources, and responsiveness to customer / program needs
Facilitate communication of technical and business information between organizations and within work group
Communicate with management on technical, organizational, resource and personnel issues
Define roles and responsibilities for assigned personnel
Conduct performance appraisals and participate in salary planning
Promote professional growth through timely performance feedback, coaching and counseling
Ensure company compliance initiatives and training requirements are implemented within work group.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field
Minimum of 5 years in Electrical Control Engineering (High Voltage equipment related will be an added advantage)
Minimum of 3 years relevant supervisory experience

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $113,200.00 and $188,800.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
