We are in search of a Proposal Graphic Artist to join our Health Solutions Business Area located in Reston, VA. As a core member of this Strategic Growth Team, you will play a valuable part in supporting and executing a wide range of cost estimation activities across the Business Area’s top priority projects.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lead the development and implementation of graphic design projects through all phases of the opportunity capture and proposal development process.

  • Develop, organize, and execute significant graphic design activities, including creating industry-leading visuals, building Leidos-internal design teams, and developing innovative design strategies to win business with new and existing customers.

  • Develop visuals for value propositions, concept of operations for a new program.

  • Develop and control design project budgets.

  • Define a schedule to accomplish graphic design activities.

  • Ensure timely delivery of compliant and compelling graphic designs, including proposal responses and marketing materials.

  • Interact routinely with all levels of Division, Operation, and Group management, infrastructure POCs, staff, and customers, and follow through on tasking.

  • Brief design status to senior management at specified milestones in the design process when material changes occur, and as needed.

  • Mentor other design and proposal staff in the graphic design process.

WHAT SETS YOU APART:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field and 8+ years of related experience or HS Diploma and 12+ years of experience.

  • Leadership skills to develop, organize, and execute significant graphic design activities, including building design teams, ensuring execution of customer design plans to create visuals that respond to and win business with new and existing customers.

  • Extensive knowledge, experience, and success in leading and executing large-scale graphic design projects.

  • Strong verbal communications skills and prior experience briefing executives.

  • Experience with developing and maintaining effective internal and external business relationships, including with customer decision-makers and industry partners.

  • Demonstrable understanding of various design tools and software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma).

  • Ability to work and execute a quick reaction process for all government responses.

  • Ability to influence constructively and interact at the highest levels of the corporate structure.

  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and business acumen.

  • Willingness to travel, as necessary in support of the design projects, based on negotiated work location, up to 10% per month.

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of design principles and best practices.

  • Ability to lead local and geographically dispersed teams.

  • Ability to use automated tools such as Microsoft Office to present ideas, information, and reports.

  • Must be a US Citizen.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
