Compensation Overview
The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

Responsible for the development and execution of new business and marketing initiatives to promote the profitable growth and retention of the Personal Lines business.
What Will You Do?
- Identify new distribution opportunities for personal insurance products. Qualify potential distribution partners in related businesses such as automotive products, employee benefits administration. Blueprint, justify and build new proprietary distribution channels (e.g., workplace sales force, Travelers websites) Design and implement distribution programs.
- Develop programs to boost the appeal of Travelers products to consumers. Establish marketing partnerships with manufacturers or retailers of insurance-related products such as home or car security systems, child safety products, and automotive accessories. Assess costs and benefits of in-house or vendor-managed services like expanded roadside assistance, and implement where warranted.
- Contribute to development and evaluation of companywide mass communication programs. Work on refinement of Travelers Personal Lines positioning. Assist with the definition of Personal Lines brand strategy. Manage agencies and other vendors through creative development, production and implementation process.
- Evaluate and improve programs. Assess market and financial impact. Take action.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
- Insurance or other financial services preferred.
- Strong strategic thinker. Ability to decompose problems. Excellent quantitative analysis.
- Expert at promoting ideas to various constituencies and can effectively translate conceptual/creative ideas into actionable terms.
- Effective communicator. Substantial experience in preparation of presentations to large groups or CEO-level managers. Strong presence and public speaking skills.
- Excellent academic credentials. Graduate degree preferred.
- Successful leadership roles in business or community endeavors.
- Prior business development or planning experience useful.
What is a Must Have?
- Minimum 7 years industry experience.
- Demonstrated and specific knowledge of marketing disciplines: strategy, sales management, forecasting, analysis, and communications and customer knowledge.
