Position Summary

The Neonatal/Pediatric Flight RN is a vital member of the A.L.E.R.T. team, responsible for delivering high-quality, critical care to neonatal and pediatric patients during air and ground transport. This role requires advanced clinical expertise, sound decision-making in high-stress situations, and strong collaboration with physicians, respiratory therapists, paramedics, and pilots.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advanced neonatal and pediatric critical care during emergent and interfacility transports.
• Assess, stabilize, and manage patients in challenging environments (aircraft, ambulance, remote settings).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary transport team members to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care.
• Maintain readiness through rigorous ongoing training, simulation, and continuing education.
• Safely operate within the specialized constraints of rotor-wing and fixed-wing aircraft environments.

Qualifications

• Current Montana RN license (or ability to obtain prior to start).
• Minimum 3 years of recent neonatal and/or pediatric ICU experience required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required.
• CFRN or C-NPT certification preferred (or obtained within 2 years of hire).
• Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and communication skills under pressure.
• Ability to meet physical and safety requirements of flight crew.
