Job Description

What is the Opportunity?

You will oversee the comprehensive compliance function, ensuring adherence to both internal business process rules and external regulatory requirements. This involves managing activities through senior and mid-level managers, implementing corporate and divisional strategic plans and budgets, and maintaining consistency in compliance approaches across all operational facets.
 

You will monitor and enhance the control environment, tracking significant control issues, regulatory developments, and industry trends to guarantee ongoing compliance. This includes developing presentations and conducting training sessions with leadership to foster deep understanding of assessment tools, controls, and compliance nuances; designing and enforcing daily procedures for ethics and compliance audits; crafting strategies for standards of conduct and ethical relationships; and leading organization-wide compliance education initiatives, ensuring regulations, policies, procedures, and emerging trends.

What will you do?

The role is responsible for execution of aspects of regulatory and compliance standards

  • Policy Development & Implementation: Creating, maintaining, and enforcing IT security policies and procedures.

  • Risk Assessment & Monitoring: Identifying vulnerabilities, monitoring for compliance gaps in technology systems, and keeping up to date with changing technology regulations.

  • Auditing: Conducting internal audits of IT systems and data processes to ensure they meet standards.

  • Regulatory Liaison: Serving as the key contact for regulatory audits and reporting compliance status to senior management.

  • Incident Response: Responding to and mitigating risks arising from security breaches.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have:

  • 15+ years of experience

  • Strong ability to manage

  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills creating impactful materials in multiple formats to influence users/executives

  • Outstanding organizational and planning abilities – understanding of iterative approach, Organizational Change Management

  • Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally within a complex organization

  • Establish an environment of cooperation, collaboration, and teamwork among colleagues, business groups and technology

Nice to have:

  • Product Management Certification

  • Previous banking experience
