WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

We are looking for an experienced Brand Director to join nVent to lead the enterprise brand strategy. At nVent, we believe that great brands are not built overnight but require nurturing, investment, and compelling examples of how we live up to our brand promises. This key leadership role, based in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, is part of our enterprise marketing leadership team and will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer for nVent. The ideal candidate will have a passion for brand building as a catalyst to improving business outcomes.

  • Leading all aspects of nVent brand identity, ensuring consistent messaging and perception alignment.
  • Leading and evolving the nVent enterprise brand strategy to build brand recognition and dedication of the nVent brand globally.
  • Implementing and educating collaborators about the nVent brand hierarchy, including enterprise and strategic product brand positioning, promise, and core messaging.
  • Collaborating closely with our insights, analytics, communications, partnership, facilities and segment marketing teams to guide brand-related marketing activations and initiatives.
  • Partnering with the internal and external communications teams to ensure a strong nVent brand content strategy for our various audiences.
  • Leading the development and implementation of enterprise-level brand campaigns and associated tactics.
  • Leading the annual Brand Health studies in partnership with insights and the segment teams and ensuring implementation of brand related actions and improvement.
  • Chairing and managing the nVent brand council and associated initiatives and actions.

YOU HAVE:

  • Required Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience (economics, business, statistics, data science, marketing, engineering, or related preferred)
  • Proven experience (12yrs +) in leading brand strategy and brand management in a B2B or industrial setting.
  • Experience with managing and building relationships with external agency partners.
  • Critical thinking – demonstrated experience in defining enterprise or parent brand vision, positioning, and key messaging, crafting a brand strategy to guide all marketing and communication activities.
  • Brand communication development - overseeing the creation of marketing materials, including advertising campaigns, website content, and social media strategies, to effectively communicate the brand message
  • Market research and analysis - Experience with brand health measurement and key performance indicators.
  • Brand identity management - maintaining consistency in visual identity elements, logos, color palettes, typography, and design guidelines across all marketing materials and internal communications.
  • Strong communications skills - with the ability to influence and encourage cross-functional teams and collaborators, through outstanding brand content and storytelling capabilities – both verbal and visual.
  • Cross-functional collaboration – ensuring brand alignment for all customer interactions across enterprise, business segments, and regional teams, with sensitivity to global business styles and time zones.
