Job Description

We are looking for someone with experience managing a privacy program for a global company as an important member of Rockwell Automation's Office of Privacy and Cybersecurity Counsel (OPCC). This unique position offers you a critical role in supporting and maturing a comprehensive privacy program with impacts across the globe.

In this unique role, you will collaborate globally with colleagues from across the entire company, including teammates in: the Office of the General Counsel; the cybersecurity team; HR; Sales and Marketing; finance; IT; procurement.

While prior experience in all segments of privacy, information security, and information technology are not required, you should show a interest in the topics. We are a team, working in both the privacy and cybersecurity areas and with partners across the business.

You will report to our Assistant General Counsel, Privacy and Cyber Security.

Location: Katowice or Warsaw -

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage, with input and direction from the Chief Privacy Officer, our corporate privacy guidelines, policies, processes, and training program;
  • Partner with internal business units and business functions to provide guidance on our policies, processes, and strategy for regulatory compliance of different programs and solutions;
  • Manage, with support from your colleagues in the OPCC and outside legal counsel or consultants (where needed), the important requirements of the global privacy program, including: update of the global inventory of privacy-related activities; and track evolving global data protection laws;
  • Partner with our procurement and third-party risk teams to manage risk in our supply chain;
  • Administer privacy risk reviews, privacy impact assessments, and data protection impact assessments;
  • Guide business units and business functions through procedures designed to support privacy and cybersecurity compliance in selection, assessment, contract review, risk mitigation, and project implementation;
  • Document and support response to cybersecurity incidents and supporting the continuous improvement and implementation of our incident-response capabilities;
  • Process data subject rights requests, design-for-security and -privacy submissions, and other requests and submissions common to corporate privacy and cybersecurity programs.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Demonstrated experience analyzing privacy issues in a corporate or legal environment;
  • 3+ years of experience supporting a privacy program and managing privacy projects in a legal, or privacy environment;
  • Prior experience collaborating with legal counsel, cybersecurity teams, privacy professionals, or interconnected business teams;
  • Interest in independent work on assigned tasks, while also collaborating with colleagues in different functions and businesses around the globe;
  • Bachelor's degree, Associate's degree, or similar post-secondary education degree is required (for example, in science, arts, law, information technology, human resources, finance).

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Demonstrated experience with risk management, data mapping, contract lifecycle management, or privacy technology tools, especially OneTrust;
  • Detailed system configuration and testing skills;
  • Prior involvement in writing and reviewing company policies, standards, and legal documentation;
  • Familiarity with process design and global training administration;
  • Privacy certifications (such as those issued by the International Association of Privacy Professionals);
  • Background working in information security or information technology; or cybersecurity certifications from organizations like (ISC)2 or CompTIA);
  • Experience managing large projects or enterprise-wide programs in a corporate or legal setting.
  • Privacy certifications from IAPP, like Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E) or Cerified Information Privacy Manager (CIPP/M)
