JR68534 Global Facilities Project Controller

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Project Manager, Site Construction Project Controls department and key collaborators to define work scope, devise strategies, and ensure adherence to the Project Control Plan.
  • Ability to establish guidelines and procedures, leading the project team to successful implementation of Project Control procedures.
  • Train Site Construction Project Controls and ensure all projects align with defined global business processes, reports, and procedures for cost control, scheduling, planning, risk, and document control at the project level using Micron’s Project Management Information System (PMIS) platform or its equivalent.
  • Responsible for a dedicated module within Project Management Information System (PMIS) platform, facilitate the Implementation team on developing, validating and testing the PMIS platform.
  • Coordinate Lesson Learned sessions.

Project Control scope includes the following but not limited to:

Schedule Management

  • Consolidate Project Reports from various projects, review and validate the accuracy of data.
  • Host weekly schedule review meeting with Site Construction Cost Controls team to review Schedule Control Plan, Resources Plan and Productivity Plan.
  • Support the development and update WBS/CBS/Schedule WBS in global platform and ensure standardization is effectively used in the project schedule.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report progress, performance & trends.
  • Identify potential risks / problem areas and advice Project manager as well as the management with mitigation plan weekly, monthly and quarterly.
  • Identify schedule Risks and Opportunities, collaborate with Project team to meet Micron’s objectives by delivering projects within the timeline set out.

Cost Management

  • Consolidate Cost Reports from various projects, review and validate the accuracy of data.
  • Host weekly cost review meeting with Site Construction Cost Controls team to review Payment Progress, Potential Change Orders, Contingency, Goods Receipt and Cashflow status.
  • Support the development and update WBS/CBS in global platform and ensure standardization is effectively used in the project.
  • Monitoring of project scope and deliverables including application of Micron Construction Management of Change procedures.
  • Identify cost Risks and Opportunities, collaborate with Project team to meet Micron’s objectives to surpass budget expectations to deliver projects at the most optimal value.

Risk Management

  • Monitor and facilitate the Risk Management process
  • Collaborate with Project team to identify Risk and Mitigation measures, and Opportunities to reduce construction timelines and budgets.

Change Management

  • Monitor and facilitate the Change Management process.
  • Ensure potential changes are monitored and approved according to Micron Construction Management of Change procedures.

Document Management

  • Ensure Site Document Controller adheres to the document management procedures.
  • Verify the weekly/monthly progress reports for management.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Degree in any engineering fields / project management / construction or equivalent.                                 
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in relevant Construction field in the Semiconductor, Oil and Gas, Petrochemical or Pharmaceutical industry.         
  • Ability to take ownership and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Open to learning new project management tool and systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Japanese is an added advantage.                               
  • Proficient in MS Office (Words, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), project control platforms (Primavera P6, ACC, Procore, Oracle Unifier etc), & automation dashboards software such as BI, Power Automate, is preferred.
