Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Follow technical leadership, architectural guidance, and applications development best practices to build and maintain software applications for the assigned platform. Analyzes detailed business/functional/technical requirements and specifications for assigned application. Codes applications using programming, scripting, automated testing, and database languages. Supports application testing, deployment, maintenance, and evolution activities by correcting programming errors, responding to scope changes, and coding application enhancements.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Works directly with stakeholders during project envisioning/inception to devise best solutions for each project.
Participates in Agile/Scrum ceremonies to ensure delivery of defect free code in assigned Sprint teams.
Contributes to functional and technical application design. Reviews/establishes “best practice” processes and uses case design/reviews. Maintains ability to document and read functional and technical specifications.
Helps to define and implement applications development best practices, standards, and processes.
Thoroughly documents application development work using established team documentation standards.
Self-manages workload and work assignments within an application development team using Agile methodologies, with an eye toward timelines and utilization.
Writes automated unit tests to support test driven development best practices.
Continue learn new skills and techniques as job requires.
Performs additional duties as directed.
SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Act as a Tier 3 escalation point for support issues.
Support application deployments during off hours and weekends.
Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in related field (Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Data Analytics, Information Security).
2 or more years of IT Applications Development experience, specifically using React, .NET, .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET, RESTful API, T-SQL, X-Unit, full-stack development practices.
Experience with React, ASP.NET, MVC / Razor, Entity Framework, HTML, CSS, jQuery, Ajax, and JSON, XML.
Experience using Microsoft Azure DevOps process, repo, and pipeline.
Experience using Git source control, GitHub, and GitHub actions.
Or any combination of education and experience to meet the above requirements.
Experience in distributed systems environments
Experience with application integrations in complex, web-service driven, or SOA environments.
Experience with troubleshooting and debugging tools and techniques.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
Fast learner.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to travel up to 10%; may include international travel.
