About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Model-Based Development and Testing Engineer to work on automotive embedded systems. This role involves a balanced mix of development and validation, focusing on MATLAB/Simulink-based design, code generation, and testing across SIL and HIL environments.

You will contribute to end-to-end development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality delivery aligned with automotive standards.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and enhance MATLAB/Simulink models based on system requirements
  • Perform low-level design, model development, and optimization
  • Generate production code using tools like TargetLink / Embedded C workflows
  • Design and execute test strategies across:
    • Model-in-the-Loop (MIL)
    • Software-in-the-Loop (SIL)
    • Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL)
  • Create and maintain test cases using TPT, ensuring:
    • Requirement traceability
    • End-to-end validation coverage
  • Perform integration testing and validation in HIL setups using automotive tools
  • Conduct static code analysis, unit testing, and debugging
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure:
    • Requirement clarity
    • System-level integration
    • Defect resolution
  • Follow automotive development processes:
    • V-Model lifecycle
    • ASPICE / functional safety compliance

What You Need to Be Successful

  • 3–6 years of experience in Model-Based Development and Testing
  • Strong hands-on experience in:
    • MATLAB / Simulink / Stateflow
    • TPT (Time Partition Testing) for test automation
  • Experience in SIL and HIL testing environments for embedded validation [3. SOW_Eng...kdown & JD | PDF]
  • Good understanding of:
    • Embedded C / C++
    • Automotive system architecture
  • Experience in:
    • Unit testing, integration testing, and verification
    • Requirements traceability and validation workflows
  • Exposure to code generation tools (TargetLink preferred)

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience with:
    • CAN / CAPL / CANoe
    • dSPACE / Vector HIL setups
    • Automotive diagnostics (UDS / DoIP)
  • Knowledge of:
    • MAAB guidelines, MXAM tools
    • AUTOSAR architecture and BSW layers
  • Experience in Agile (Scrum / SAFe) environments

What Makes You Eligible

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in:
    • Electronics / Electrical / Computer Science
  • Strong understanding of both development and testing lifecycle
  • Ability to work in end-to-end ownership roles (design + validation)
  • Good analytical, debugging, and communication skills
