This is a pan-European role focused on driving marketing and operations efforts for EU merchants, service providers, and partner organizations across the region. The position requires a deep understanding of local retail/travel industries, user behaviors, and partner channels. By leveraging these insights, the role involves identifying merchant needs and market trends, and implementing effective marketing/operation strategies and resource integration plans to boost merchant engagement, coverage, and transaction volume. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to manage and grow relationships with regional service providers and partners, contributing to the sustainable development of the WeChat Pay cross-border ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute operations and marketing strategies to drive business growth in the pan-European market, focusing on both merchant acquisition and retention.
Understand regional industry trends, user needs, and partner requirements to inform strategy and execution.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to integrate WeChat and Tencent resources, ensuring smooth business implementation and scalable growth.
Support the development of a strong regional network of service providers and partners, ensuring alignment with WeChat Pay’s cross-border objectives.
Strong understanding of the WeChat smart ecosystem and WeChat Pay business model; prior successful project experience is highly preferred.
Proven ability to understand and respond to the needs of industry merchants and partners across multiple markets, and effectively integrate relevant resources for business execution.
Experience in both marketing and operations, with a focus on industry operations or business development. Relevant internships or project experience will also be considered.
Proficiency in English/Chinese is required. Familiarity with local culture and business practices across the EU, as well as having established relationships with local merchants and service providers, is highly advantageous.
