The Opportunity:

The Scheduler is responsible for the booking of shifts, the effective day to day business operations, providing reports on an ad-hoc basis and as requested. This role will establish continuous, innovative improvement of current services in order to provide an enhanced customer service experience.

What You Will Do:

  • Provides solution focused assistance to site staff.
  • Ensures all shifts are filled to meet business needs.
  • Responsible for the management of “site workbook” of vacant shifts.
  • Manages sick time, time & attendance records, filling up shifts, and scheduling. 
  • Prepares daily assignment sheets for the departments.
  • Authorizes and affirms that overtime and agency use is minimal.
  • Assures effective communication with management regarding unit staffing status and issues.
  • Accurately inputs relief staff into shifts in Kronos.
  • Enters accurate hours/pay codes are entered for relief staff.
  • Liaison with Unit Clerks/Administrative staff.

What You Will Need:

  • High School Diploma or GED required. Diploma in office management or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in same or similar role. 
  • Ability to operate related equipment i.e., word processing software and spreadsheet programs. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Preference will be given to those who have experience in a unionized health care environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Upholds in maintaining confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
