Position Summary...

The Sr. Director will lead strategy and execution for Sam’s Club’s big & bulky post-transaction experience, focusing on delivering perfect orders and scaling 1P shipping. This leader will drive cost efficiency, speed, and member satisfaction, ensuring seamless fulfillment for large-format items while positioning Sam’s Club as the most trusted destination for both everyday and big-ticket online purchases.

What you'll do...

Big & Bulky Growth & Experience

• Develop and scale the big & bulky eCommerce strategy, enabling growth from hundreds of millions toward multi-billion targets.
• Build an end-to-end delivery experience for large items (e.g., furniture, appliances, outdoor) that balances member convenience with operational feasibility.
• Partner with Merchandising and Supply Chain to expand assortment and enable delivery models that meet member expectations.

Perfect Order Delivery

• Own and improve the “perfect order” rate across sourcing, fulfillment, and last mile, driving accuracy, speed, and reliability.
• Reduce defects in order lifecycle execution through systemic fixes in process, technology, and accountability.
• Monitor and improve KPIs: on-time performance, damage/returns %, fulfillment cost, and NPS.

1P Shipping Strategy & Optimization

• Lead the strategy and scaling of 1P shipping for big & bulky, balancing cost-to-serve with speed and reliability.
• Optimize inventory placement, packaging solutions, and routing to ensure efficient delivery at scale.
• Strengthen carrier/3PL partnerships and delivery models (direct-to-home, scheduled, express).

Operational Efficiency & Cost to Serve

• Drive cost-to-serve improvements while delivering against member promise.
• Optimize delivery mode mix (delivery, curbside, shipping) and improve labor and process efficiency.
• Deploy advanced technology, including AI-enabled tools, to improve visibility, transparency, and proactive issue resolution.

Enterprise Integration & Leadership

• Partner with Product, Technology, Merchandising, and Enterprise Supply Chain to align roadmaps and accelerate capabilities.
• Leverage Walmart enterprise assets in logistics, fulfillment, and technology to unlock scale advantages.
• Serve as a connector across the organization to ensure big & bulky and post-transaction strategies are fully integrated into the broader Sam’s Club and Walmart ecosystem.

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$260,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...
