Purpose of Role
This role is a core contributor to the growth of State Street Investment Management’s Australian intermediary business. The Intermediary Relationship Manager is accountable for driving measurable growth in adoption, flows, and engagement across locally domiciled investment solutions— including listed ETFs, managed funds, and ETF model portfolios—within assigned intermediary segments, with a primary focus on brokers and broking channels. The role combines direct client coverage, disciplined sales execution, and cross-functional collaboration. You will work closely with Marketing, Product, and Strategy teams to convert market opportunities into tangible commercial outcomes, strengthen client partnerships, and reinforce a high-performance, client-centric sales culture.
What you will be responsible for
As Intermediary Relationship Manager, you will
Own and execute segment-specific sales plans to drive AUM growth, net new flows, and solution adoption.
Build, manage, and deepen a defined portfolio of intermediary clients.
Identify client needs and translate capabilities into outcome-oriented solutions.
Represent investment capabilities with clarity and credibility.
Execute sales campaigns and strategic initiatives.
Partner with Marketing and Product to improve distribution effectiveness.
Maintain strong market, regulatory, and competitive awareness.
Use Salesforce with discipline for pipeline and client intelligence.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
Client-facing experience in asset management or financial services.
3 – 5 years’ experience in distribution or relationship management.
Strong understanding of Australian intermediary markets.
Proven ability to execute structured sales plans.
Degree-qualified and RG146 compliant.

Strong technical ability with investment industry knowledge.
