Compensation Range:

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities:

Serves as management supervising the Outpatient Access Representative (OAR) Float Pool. Coordinating daily/weekly assignments of up to 25 staff as the OARs work at different medical offices across UR Medicine.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Supervises the daily operations for the OAR Float department. Assists with the development of efficient processes to support and manage the flow from Float referrals through assignments. Compiles and analyzes statistics, prepares analytical and evaluative reports, and writes operating or procedural manuals or instructions, as needed. Assesses operational needs of the offices by working closely with leadership.
  • Participates in interviews, hiring and retention of Float staff. Assists with ensuring sites are staffed, adjusting coverage when staffing issues or department requests arise. Oversees training of the Float staff. Participates in the development and coordination of training programs for Float staff. Works with program leadership to make recommendations relative to performance evaluations. Collaborates with Orientation team to ensure all Floats are assigned.
  • Works with the Billing office to ensure all budget expectations are met. Maintains appropriate purchasing records and documentation, as needed. Approves Float payroll on a weekly basis.
  • Supervises the progress of Float OAR duties including patient medical records, documentation for billing, and completion/submission of documents regarding patient care insurance. Collaborates with medical offices to streamline tasks and promote patient and family centered care environment, by identifying areas of concern and providing resolution.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience required
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
