POSITION OVERVIEW:

Promoting and selling the organization's products across multiple sales channels including selling directly to end-consumer or organizations; selling to resellers, distributers, or retail outlets; and promoting through medical representatives to physicians, etc.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) Sales

  • To deliver the team performance plan and individual performance plan to meet or exceed sales targets

  • To increased usage for promoted products in all relevant accounts

  • To prepare and implement account development and territory business plans

  • To conduct equipment demo and ensure successful demo process (Pre-demo, demo & Post demo)

  • To support surgeries as per customer’s requirement

  • To improve clinical sales and marketing knowledge of promoted and competitor products

  • To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the health provision environment

  • To maintain and increase customer engagement, satisfaction, and experience to Alcon equipment

  • To identify and develop key opinion leaders to increase product usage, gain formulary acceptance and product endorsement

  • To update and maintain sales tracking systems to maximize effectiveness on territory (SFDC)

  • Other duties as and when assigned (Support Marketing activities like congresses and exhibitions)

2) Training

  • Equipment portfolio coverage as assigned.

  • Conduct in-field coaching to FFs development.

  • KOL management

  • Carry out training & Refresher workshops for HCPs.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Fulfilment of agreed sales targets

  • No. of calls and contacts with customers (Commex KPI)

  • Lead creation into SFDC for all the opportunities identified.

  • Quality: area plan, hospital listing, distribution quality and self-development (skill and knowledge)

  • Quantity: area performance and market share, number of hospital coverage, number of doctors and KOLs coverage

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

Education:

  • Bachelor degree in Science is preferred

Languages:

  • English (written & oral)

  • 2nd language preferred

Key Competencies/Behaviours:

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Able to liaise with staff at all levels in an effective and efficient manner

  • Able to work independently as well as a team in promoting Company’s products

  • Possess positive attitude and goal oriented

  • Has good business acumen

Skills/Experience:

  • 3 years of experience as a Medical Representative in the Healthcare / Medical Device Industry

  • Able to work in operating theatres during surgeries
