JLG is seeking a motivated high school student interested in engineering, manufacturing, and process improvement to join the Industrial Engineering team as an apprentice. This hands-on opportunity provides real-world experience in a manufacturing environment while developing essential skills in industrial engineering, problem-solving, and efficiency optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Standard Work Instructions (SWI): Update and implement changes from engineering modifications.
  • Technical Skills: Read and interpret Change Notices, blueprints, and facility layouts.
  • Software Proficiency: Learn and use AutoCAD, Creo View, JED, and Microsoft Office.
  • Process Improvement: Conduct time studies, process mapping, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manufacturing Support: Shadow Industrial & Manufacturing Engineers (IE/ME) and assist with daily production needs.
  • Safety & Organization: Maintain workplace organization (6S), follow PPE requirements, and support safety/quality improvements.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Self-motivated with a logical, problem-solving mindset.
  • Strong math, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and independently.
  • Interest in 2D/3D modeling (AutoCAD, Creo, SolidWorks, etc.).
  • Punctual, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
  • Planning to pursue a degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering (or a related field).
