ARCH US MI Services, Inc., seeks Software Engineer III in Greensboro, NC.

Job Duties:                          

Work with the Agile Program Manager (APM), Digital Product Manager (DPM), and Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to accurately capture stakeholder requests and system specifications and translate them into UI/UX engineering artifacts, which typically include design specifications, source code, test scripts and test results. Coordinate with Digital Product Manager and Software Engineer IVs to ensure that the UI/UX engineering realization is in accordance with Enterprise Architecture ethics and software development best practices. As part of Agile teams, complete UI/UX software development work which includes application design, coding, code review and testing. Keep Agile team and APM apprised of project status. Offer suggestions to stakeholders on devising effective and efficient approaches to achieve project and program goals. Manage UI/UX design risks by proactively tracking and communicating issues and devising methods to mitigating them. Liaise with other project and program areas to coordinate interdependencies and resolve issues. Support business units in the resolution of in-depth user questions and issues following production support process and SLA’s. Maintain a working knowledge of new technology and UI/UX engineering standards, practices and resources. Provide input to APM/DPM in creation of Product Roadmap, High Level Estimates. Collaborate with IT administration to define and develop documentation and UI/UX artifact standards, guidelines, processes, and templates.

Qualifications:                     

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or related software development position.

Must have:

  • 3 years of experience with software engineering best practices design patterns, modular programming, and object-oriented design (OOD), code reviews, automated testing, continuous integration, and deployment (CI/CD).
  • 3 years of experience in developing software applications in Java 7 and 8, Spring Ecosystem, Angular or React JS, with integration of tools SonarQube for static code analysis and code quality checks, Nexus IQ for dependency and security vulnerability management, and Veracode for application security testing.
  • 3 years of experience with full-stack development, involving frontend technologies (Angular, ReactJS, Ember.js), backend development (Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs), and database management (MongoDB and SQL such as PostgreSQL, MYSQL), along with deployment on cloud platforms Azure, AWS, and PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry).
  • 3 years of experience using agile software development principles, process, and tools, including Scrum and Kanban methodologies, with tools Jira for task tracking and backlog management and VersionOne for scaled agile development.
  • 3 years of experience with large batch data processing and asynchronous orchestrations and/or choreography, using tools and frameworks Apache Kafka for message brokering, RabbitMQ for messaging queues, AWS Glue Jobs for ETL processes.
  • 2 years of experience with CRNK JSON API Spec framework for building and validating standardized JSON APIs.
  • 2 years of experience with test driven development (TDD), using frameworks Junit, Mockito, Jest and Cypress for unit testing.
  • 2 years of experience with source code change management and CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub or GitLab for version control, Jenkins for automating complex CI/CD workflows, and Harness for deploying software with automated rollback monitoring capabilities.
  • 2 years of experience with production support processes including incident and problem management techniques including incident triaging, utilizing tools Splunk and Dynatrace for log analysis and application performance monitoring.
  • 2 years of experience with containerization and orchestration tools including Docker for creating and managing containers and Kubernetes for orchestration, managing these technologies through OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) and deploying manifests using ArgoCD for GitOps workflows.
  • 1 year of Cloud computing experience with PAAS, including Azure App Services for hosting applications, AWS Elastic Beanstalk for easy application deployment, PCF for cloud-native application deployment.

Able to telecommute from any location within the US. Occasional weekend and/or overtime work required to triage and resolve high severity production issues. #LI-DNI

  • Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs.
