Job Summary

The SRC Clinical and Data Coordinator maintains a thorough understanding of clinical data needed for the STEMII Receiving Center (SRC). Abstracts and/or reviews and submits to Performance Improvement (PI) department the SRC data that is complete and accurate and makes recommendations to appropriate clinicians/leaders about improvements based on the data. Identifies data that is missing; and brings resolution to those missing data elements. Collects data through inpatient and outpatient concurrent and retrospective chart review and communication with physicians, program staff and patients. Inputs data and reviews reports for completeness. Coordinates appropriate data review by cardiology/physicians prior to submission. Participates in all related meetings and reviews quarterly and annual national database reports.

SRC Clinical and Data Coordinator also oversees the entire SRC program in partnership with the County of Los Angeles Emergency Medical Services (EMS) system.  Reports all necessary data and findings into the EMS data base and works closely with their coordinator and Emanate Health’s SRC Medical Director to assure accurate findings. Reports to the Director of Invasive Cardiology who ultimately is accountable for the data base and its coordination.

Job Requirements

a. Minimum Education Requirement :

Associates Degree in nursing and Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with cardiology experience. BS preferred.

b. Minimum Experience Requirement :

One year working with cardiac patients or one year case management with cardiac patients. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and have worked with Excel data bases.

c. Minimum License Requirement :

CA Registered Nurse License required.
