Job Description:

Key Responsibilities 

  • Perform basic or minor repairs and inspections on brakes, tires, wiring, etc.
  • Perform essential and routine preventative maintenance on trailers.
  • Repair/Replace body parts such as floors, rails, landing gear, and doors.
  • Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a high level of productivity and be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Drive trucks in and out of shops to stage trailers.
  • Work closely with other mechanics and make suggestions on complicated repairs.
  • Clean and maintain the work area daily.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


 

Education and Experience 

  • Typically possesses High School diploma (or equivalent) and 0-2 years of experience.  

Knowledge and Skills 

  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and courteously with customers and colleagues at delivery points.
  • Ability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment.
