About the Role
Position: serve as the responsible function to set up, implement proper AIA China Investment Data Governance Framework in conjunction with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance regulatory and Inclusive Green Finance requirements. To maximize the integrated nature of such activities across Asset Management Companies, AIA Life and AIA Group Investment Department, particularly given regulatory complexity, so as to be as nimble and efficient as possible yet preserve integrity and demonstrability. As well as to ensure the maintenance, continuous improvement of the Investment Data Governance.Roles and Responsibilities:
Set-up the Investment Data Governance Framwork according to Group Operating Model and AIA China Data Governance Matrix, as well as the Investment Practices under the Chinese regulatory requirements and industrial standards.
Ensure the adoption and adherence to the update of Regulatory requirements relevant to the Investment Data Identify the “risk-spots” among the Investment Dataflow and propose the corresponding solutions from governance perspective, with the aim to improve the robustness of the Investment Data Quality continuously
Define and implement the standards and procedures for data governance processes.
Coordinate with Group Investment Data Governance COE team for determining the Investment Data Domain and Critical Data Elements (“CDEs”), which require customization according to AIA China’s Investments’ needs.
Responsible for Investment Data Quality Dashboard Reporting, Data Quality Monitoring, and Data Quality Issue Escalation and Log.
Identify the lower-rated CDEs in the Data Quality Dashboard and coordinate with the corresponding CDE’s owner for proposing the remediation plan and monitoring the follow-up action.
Use tools to create a business data catalogue and perform data quality assessments for optimal efficiency and effectiveness.
Organise people from across Asset Management Companies at all levels in a structured way to be mobilised and engaged in data governance.
Coordinate between various stakeholders (i.e., 2nd and 3rd) to support Governance improvement initiatives to meet the on-going developments and upgrading of Investment Governance and regulator’s requirements.
Assist the Head of Governance & Control with other projects and initiatives from time to time as required.
Minimum Job Requirements:
More than 7 years of experience in internal/external Auditing, Control, Investment Compliance, Investment Risk Management, quality assurance, or consulting experience, preferably gained from Chinese insurance or Insurance asset management company;
Previous experience working as first line or second line of Insurance, Insurance asset management;
Recognized professional investment/accounting/auditing/risk management (CFA,CPA, FRAM, CIA, CA, etc.) designation;
Previous involvement with the project implementation;
Experience using robust investment management platforms, preferable Hundsun, Blackrock’s Aladdin and/or Bloomberg AIMS, CMGR.
Can distill complex issues into simple reports, solutions, and designs;
A post graduate degree or professional designation would be viewed favorably;
Good command of written and spoken English (not a must);
Good communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of the organization; and Independent and strong self-initiative.
