Ivy Tech Community College - Bloomington is looking for a detail-oriented individual to provide clerical and customer service support to the Financial Aid Office. Responsibilities include verifying financial aid documents, responding to inquiries, assisting students with document submissions, and supporting outreach campaigns and special events. Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset are essential.

Hourly Rate: $15.75

Rolling interviews will occur until position is filled.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES (Examples only)

1) Responsible for imaging financial aid documents, verifying documents and following protocols for ensuring accuracy.

2) Respond to inquiries and requests from students, parents, the general public, faculty, administrators and staff via phone, email and teams chats, and refers to appropriate personnel as necessary.

3) Assist students with submitting required documents to complete financial application files.

4) Maintain enrollment rosters for enrolled military related students.

4) Assist with outreach campaigns via phone and email.

5) Assist Enrollment Services with operational tasks as deemed appropriate, including campus and departmental special events.

6) Participates in team building exercises, trainings, community service, service learning, and civic engagement projects and activities as deemed appropriate by the Chancellor.

7) All other duties as assigned, consistent with commonly accepted practices.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience and knowledge of computer software (including all Microsoft products) and data entry skills
  • Good listening and customer service skills in working with the general public as well as college personnel
  • Recognizes the need to maintain accuracy and confidentiality of student records
  • Must not be in default on an education loan or in overpayment of a federal grant or loan

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Community College experience
