Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Managing a team of 10- 15 Software developers skilled in ( C/C++/ Java / Android/ Linux) to deliver work products meeting the QCD targets and enhancing productivity for the activities in his/her perimeter;
  • Define strategies and roadmap in alignment with corporate vision and execution through skilled workforce resources and infrastructure ramp-up 
  • Define budget & workload with respective corporate customers for his/her perimeter and track workforce availability as per workload
  • Make action plan and enable the team to take up complex SW /System feature development through proper skill ramp-up planning & execution
  • Define strategy for vendor management in terms activities to outsource, mode of outsourcing either T&M or Work Package & Tracking vendor performance regularly in his/her perimeter
  • Assign KPIs to team leaders and appraise them, define and follow up the training plan for each team leaders & critical resources, motivate the team and provide career paths to his/her team members.
  • Validate the process of team activities (input/output, process flow, RASIC chart), that are submitted by respective team leaders.
  • Review performance dashboard and metrics of team activities periodically and take preventive / corrective actions. Improvement plan definition and tracking to closure.
  • Report WF-WL, metrics, status of activities, roadmaps, plans, competencies and skills ramp-up and risks in a timely manner to department head and corporate stakeholders.
  •   Contribute to the division sustainable growth and performance by leading one or more operational activities, Innovation, Competitiveness or People engagement transversal projects.

Skills & Experience

  • 10 - 15 years of experience in Cockpit & Connected car Software development with strong  programming skills, including C/C++/ Java/ Android /Linux
  • Hands on experience in Automotive Embedded SW/System development (5+ years)
  • Technical/ Project lead experience, preferably with OEM’s or Tier1 (5+ years)
  • Project management experience, preferably with OEM’s or Tier1 (5+ years)
  • Experience in SW product development of ADAS/AD, Body, Chassis, Connected Car, HMI features, Embedded Software Development & Validation activities across V-Cycle
  • Experience in System level design and validation across V-Cycle
  • Based on the domain, Specific experience would be required.
  • Experience in Android / Linux SW development for applications and middleware
  • Knowledge in SW development processes, algorithms, sensors and system simulation
  • Experience in leading embedded development teams (size of 10+ members)
  • Experience in interfacing with customer and top management
  • Building strategies and roadmap for the team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
