Summary

At Baxter Healthcare Corporation, the Manufacturing Technician III position presents a valuable opportunity to operate in a high-quality environment impacting lives directly. Your role involves completing production processes and ensuring compliance with cGMP, environmental health, and safety regulations. Collaborate with teams, simplify procedures, and introduce new technologies. Your leadership in advanced cGMP compliance and environmental health and safety is vital in prioritizing and directing production tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support all local manufacturing operations.
  • Set up and operate general production equipment.
  • Perform complex equipment troubleshooting and respond to process alarms as necessary.
  • Complete relevant paperwork following GDP/GMP guidelines.
  • Perform cleaning of equipment, small parts, and production area.
  • Support initiation and participate on Continuous Improvement Teams.
  • Receive and distribute supplies into the production area as necessary.
  • Write, revise, and review pertinent documentation as appropriate.
  • Lead stretching exercises.
  • Prepare and package product for shipment, where applicable.
  • Instruct new team members on tasks within the scope of a Manufacturing Technician III's expertise.
  • Support other functional groups to ensure preventative maintenance is scheduled and completed.
  • Print out applicable process documentation.
  • Develop, issue materials, and complete GME work orders.
  • Build and complete Maximo work orders.
  • Perform cycle count and support variance investigations.
  • Support document reconciliation as required.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills and understanding of cGMP regulations.
  • Skilled in a range of mathematical fields and able to work with both metric and USA measurement standards.
  • Must possess the ability to comprehend and adhere to detailed written instructions.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment.
  • This position requires shift, weekend, and holiday work. Overtime may be required at times.
  • The role necessitates working in a sanitized room/classified setting while donning specialized attire. It is imperative to wear personal protective gear as mandated for safety purposes.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office/Word/Excel applications.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Medical Device equipment.
  • Knowledge of chemical and biological safety procedures per applicable guidelines.
  • Physical Demands
  • Attendance and punctuality are essential to perform the functions of the job.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and transport items weighing up to 50 lbs; regular standing and walking required.
  • Visual inspection is required, and near-point corrected vision must be at least 20/25 or country-specific equivalent. Vision checkup will be performed annually. Inspectors shall pass a standard eye test including a near vision acuity test. If employees fail to meet the minimum vision standard, they should be referred to their optometrist for further correction. If the vision cannot be corrected, the employee must be assigned to other areas.

Education and/or Experience

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent along with at least 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing-related roles, or
  • AA degree with 2-3 years of manufacturing related experience, or
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with at least 6 months of manufacturing-related experience.

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The base estimated salary will be $64,000.00. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
