Introduction 

The Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment (University of Oxford), in an innovative partnership with Boundless Learning is proud to offer a unique series of professional development courses focused on Cyber Security, and Public Policy. We are seeking Online Course Facilitators to play a pivotal role in guiding busy working professionals to excel in their careers across these critical and dynamic fields.

The role:

Course Facilitators are essential to our learners' success, providing engagement and feedback within our Virtual Learning Environment. Your expertise will guide learners through discussion forums, live sessions, and assessment feedback, ensuring their success and satisfaction. Course Facilitators must have a broad range of knowledge on sustainability, an understanding of how it interrelates with business, and an ability to demonstrate their presence and engagement. We are currently seeking experienced professionals to facilitate courses in the following areas:

  • Cyber Security
  • Values in Public Policy
  • Economics for Public Policy
  • Evidence and Public Policy

About you:

We are in search of dedicated, organized, and insightful individuals with a passion for online teaching and learning. As a subject matter expert in one or more of the aforementioned areas, you'll aid professional learners in their development, sharing your knowledge and experiences in a nurturing and inclusive setting.

Essential:

  • Doctorate or postgraduate qualifications in relevant fields (Cyber Security, Public Policy, Political Philosophy, Economics) or significant experience in these areas.
  • Minimum 5 years of senior-level professional experience related to sustainability, environment, or climate.
  • Proven track record of teaching and supporting adult learners online, within higher education or professional settings.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a strong passion for sharing knowledge.
  • Proficiency in digital technologies, with availability to support live sessions (high-speed internet, camera, microphone).

Desirable Attributes:

  • Doctorate in relevant sustainability fields.
  • Evidence of scholarship, research activity, or current professional work in specific sustainability sectors.
  • Quick adaptability to new systems and processes.
