Lafayette Animal Hospital is a compassionate, well-educated, up-to-date veterinary hospital that strives to treat and take care of our patients to the highest level of veterinary care available. We are looking for a either a full-time experienced Veterinary Assistant that is confident with proper animal handling and restraint, able to work closely with our veterinary technicians and veterinarians, understands the importance of client education, takes pride in keeping the hospital areas clean and organized, able to jump in when needed, is a positive and supportive team player, looking to take their skills and knowledge to the next level. We will also consider training the right, motivated candidate. The veterinary industry is constantly advancing and we encourage our staff to do the same. Lafayette Animal Hospital understands the importance of a work-life balance for our team members. Pay Range: $18 - $22 (based on experience)

Hours: 30 - 40 hours per week

Requirements:

• 1+ years experience preferred
• Understands the importance of client education and patient care
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
• Compassionate and caring toward our clients and their pets
• Motivated to continue to learn new skills
• Multi-task efficiently
• Positive and supportive team player
• Rotating weekend shifts required (first 6-8 Saturdays required for training)

About the Hospital:

Lafayette Animal Hospital is a fast-paced hybrid clinic that offers general practice services along with urgent care and emergency care for our patients. We are open from 8-6 Monday through Friday and 8-2 Saturdays. We are closed on Sundays.
