About Lakeland Hospitals

The health system comprises three hospitals, a regional cancer center, rehabilitation centers, two long-term care residences, home care and hospice services, and thirty-four affiliate physician practice locations. We provide both inpatient and outpatient medical services throughout Southwest Michigan.

Scope of work

The RN Manager assumes 24-hour accountability for managing, supervising, and coordinating the operational and financial effectiveness and efficiency of the surgical services unit of the hospital. You will develop policies, procedures, and processes in coordination with other leaders to ensure the highest quality services are always provided to all customers. You assure presence of a supportive and healthy work environment that promotes retention and embraces diversity. Key responsibilities include unit-based goal setting, program development, fiscal management, resource allocation, standards of care, policy and procedure development and interpretation, human resource development, performance improvement, supporting a culture of safety and maintenance of interprofessional collaborative relationships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in nursing Required.
  • Master’s degree in nursing or health care administration or business Preferred.
  • 2+ years of Perioperative nursing experience Required.
  • 1+ years of relevant supervisory experience Required.
  • MI Registered Nurse license Required.
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.
  • Nurse Managers are REQUIRED to obtain their Nursing Administration or Professional/Specialty Certification within 12 months of assuming the role, or within 12 months of achieving eligibility to sit for the exam if not eligible upon hire into the role.
