The TPIC Talent Lead Director, serves as a strategic partner to the Employee Success Business Partner Leaders and their Employee Success (ES) Teams for Tech, Product, India and CIO organizations on all talent management related processes and programs. They are aligned to supporting the senior leaders and their direct leadership teams across the globe and will partner with all functional and regional ES Teams.

The role will partner with key collaborators to develop and drive the long-range talent strategy for each BU, by consulting on business needs, talent priorities and desired talent outcomes. The role serves as a critical conduit between the ESBP Teams and COE Partners, and is responsible for scaling the execution of Talent Growth & Development (TG&D) COE enterprise initiatives and business specific talent initiatives. They collaborate and drive the right innovation and the right talent outcomes to deliver business value across all BU leadership teams.

This role reports directly to the SVP Employee Success Business Partner, and closely aligns to the Head of Talent Growth & Development (TG&D) while collaborating across various teams in Employee Success (ES) and beyond to ensure accountability, alignment, and impact.

Responsibilities include:

  • Using deep and broad business understanding and insights to provide strategic guidance on long term talent priorities.
  • Representing the business perspective and priorities with our COE Partners as we innovate, design, build, test, enable and continuously improve upon our talent management programs and processes.
  • Partnering with the Employee Success Business Partners (ESBPs) to drive and facilitate the executive talent management strategy, such as: critical role succession planning, talent planning and movement, org health and effectiveness, talent engagement, equality and more.
  • Partnering with the Head of Talent Growth & Development (TG&D) and their team to partner, influence, evolve, and co-create global talent solutions for the entire organization.
  • Partnering closely with the ESBP & ESPC Team to understand the rhythm of the business and use those insights to co-create the BU specific Talent Life Cycle strategy.
  • Gaining business alignment and guidance w/ESBPs and Leaders on key talent programs and processes such as: promotions, talent reviews, succession planning, etc.
  • Leading the BU specific plan to scale and implement the talent programs and processes consistently across senior leaders which may include: the change management strategy, timeline development, communication strategy, BU template development, BU enablement, and more.
  • Partnering with ESBP Leaders to design and facilitate senior leader talent discussions such as: talent reviews, promotion calibrations, org health reviews, succession planning, and more.
  • Building a network of cross-ES and beyond relationships to ensure visibility and voice in company talent priorities and programs. Partners may include: Recruiting, Equality, People Analytics, Total Rewards, and more.
  • Serving as a talent management subject matter expert and champion for Leaders and our ES Teams by serving as the talent management point of contact, consulting on strategic talent priorities, sharing talent management standard processes, and partnering to deliver desired outcomes.
  • Developing forums to ensure that ESBPs/ESPCs/TLs and the business are supported and activated on company talent priorities.
  • Connecting with other Talent Leads and COE Partners globally to ensure information and feedback is moving across the system effectively.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong business sense with the ability to collaborate with peers and influence senior leaders to align talent strategies to business strategies.
  • Ability to simplify and drive productivity in our talent programs and processes.
  • A transformational talent leader with a proven track record of building strong relationships and providing guidance to a growing organization in a complex industry.
  • Ability to quickly ramp on new initiatives and customize the strategy and the resources needed to complete.
  • Talent Management, Organizational Development Effectiveness, and HR Business Partner experience at large, fast paced, complex, global companies with a proven history of success in leading change and influencing others.
  • Program management expertise and willingness to drive both the strategic and operational aspects of a program.
  • Ability to flex, pivot and move forward as decisions and priorities change.
  • Understanding of performance consulting and high performance culture standard processes.
  • Partners effectively across multiple functions and can influence without direct authority.
  • Change management expertise at the individual, team and organizational level.
  • Confident, humble and resilient and have used these skills to effectively learn from and influence senior team members and leaders.
  • Ability to analyze talent related data to see opportunities, propose recommendations, and communicate a sound narrative.
  • Ability to consult and contract with multiple business clients to identify and prioritize work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Practical experience providing formal/informal executive coaching and development in all areas of leadership.
  • Utilization of talent management tools, systems, and standard processes to help businesses achieve talent management objectives.
  • Understanding of leadership competencies and changing demands within a leadership pipeline.

Preferred Locations

  • The Talent Lead Director is preferred to be near a Salesforce location, preferably in San Francisco or Seattle.
