Project Role Description : Leads a team of quality engineers through multi-disciplinary team planning and ecosystem integration to accelerate delivery and drive quality across the application lifecycle. Applies business and functional knowledge to develop end-to-end testing strategies through the use of quality processes and methodologies. Applies testing methodologies, principles and processes to define and implement key metrics to manage and assess the testing process including test execution and defect resolution.

Summary:
As a Quality Engineering Lead, a typical day involves guiding a team of quality engineers by coordinating multi-disciplinary planning and integrating various ecosystem components to enhance delivery speed and maintain high standards of quality throughout the application lifecycle. The role requires applying comprehensive business and functional insights to design and implement thorough testing strategies. This includes overseeing the testing process from start to finish, ensuring that quality processes and methodologies are effectively utilized. The position also involves defining and tracking key performance metrics to monitor test execution and manage defect resolution, fostering continuous improvement and collaboration across teams.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead the development and implementation of quality assurance strategies that align with project goals and organizational standards.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of quality processes.
- Mentor and support junior team members to enhance their skills and promote professional growth.
- Continuously evaluate and improve testing methodologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Java Enterprise Edition.
- Strong knowledge of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools relevant to enterprise applications.
- Ability to analyze complex systems and design comprehensive test plans.
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in quality assurance processes.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Java Enterprise Edition.
- This position is based at our Pune office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
