Job Description:

What You’ll Do

Utilizes knowledge of business strategy processes and policies, various data sources and testing methodologies to assure the quality of the different Card/Loan product strategies’ implementation. Conduct testing plans in the Financial Decision System to ensure the business strategies are implemented correctly and effectively in the production environment. Participate in innovation and process enhancement to improve overall efficiency. The engineer may support different Card and Loan business. 


How You’ll Do It

  • Analyze project requirements and work with business partners to ensure requirements are clear and complete.
  • Identify inconsistencies between existing policies and new strategies. Incorporate new requirements into existing designs and processes.
  • Develop test methodology by translating individual requirements into individual test cases. 
  • Participate in various testing phases, execute test plans and cases in Decision Engine, and deliver high quality testing results and reports. 
  • Identify, troubleshoot, track, and resolve defects with business partners. 
  • Identify opportunities to improve quality and efficiency of existing test
  • Develop automation tools to reduce testing cycle time. 


Qualifications You’ll Need
The Basics

  • University graduate | Bachelor degree or above in information technology related fields.
  • Python, SAS, SQL, UNIX scripting skills and experience. Experience developing automation tools is a plus.
  • Strong familiarity with SDLC, object-oriented programming, system implementation process. Familiarity with Agile work processes and experience with Jira is preferred.
  • Experience in software development, software testing, or system monitoring/control.
  • Experience with GitHub or other code and task management tools preferred.
  • Ability to think independently and learn on your own.
  • Enthusiasm for technical problem solving and innovation.
  • Ability to work in a demanding environment and working with multiple products.
  • Good interpersonal skills and fluency in spoken and written English.
