As an Occupational Rehabilitation Advisor, you will work closely with Operational Employees and Leaders, Safety and Workers Compensation teams. Together you will support our people in their rehabilitation by driving a pro-active and person centric recovery and return to work model. Having an established understanding in the application of a biopsychosocial approach to Recovery and Injury Management as well as a working knowledge of relevant jurisdictional Workers Compensation legislation will be vital in this role. You will also have the ability to work autonomously, with strong time management and prioritisation skills in a fast-paced environment. 

The successful candidate will have 

  • Allied Health Tertiary qualification (i.e., Rehabilitation Counselling/Occupational Therapy/Exercise Physiology/Physiotherapy etc.) with 3+ years relevant working experience 

  • Completed relevant state specific Return to Work Coordinator Course 

  • Knowledge of the health benefits of good work and the impact of return-to-work programs and recovery 

  • Ability to manage complex return to work and injury rehabilitation cases 

  • Experience with developing graded return-to-work plans (or similar) 

  • Experience in scheduling and facilitating case conferences (or similar) 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with motivational interviewing experience highly desirable 

  • Proficiency in influencing, coaching and mentoring all levels of management, employees and external stakeholders 

  • Strong interpersonal skills in complex stakeholder management environments
