Role Summary:

The Finance Business Partner will play a critical role in supporting the financial health and operational efficiency of commercial business. This role involves management & monitoring of sales pipeline, accounting, inventory and stock management, financial reporting, audits, cash flow monitoring, expense monitoring.

Primary Responsibilities:

1 Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Timely invoice issuance, adherence to local laws related to reporting of goods movement to government in prescribed format.

• Review of vendor invoices, payment proposals, resolving payment queries

• Manage returns process for credit note

• Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing

• Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards

• Maintain general ledger integrity and oversee reconciliations

2 Inventory & Stock Management

• Coordinate with supply chain and operations to ensure optimal stock levels

• Analyze stock aging, obsolescence, and return trends

• Monitor warehouse inventory levels 

• Leverage SAP Inventory Management module for: - Posting entries in SAP and tracking goods movement (GRN, stock transfers, returns, adjustments) - Ensuring real-time inventory visibility and reconciliation - Generating inventory reports and analytics - Training and supporting business teams in SAP inventory processes and best practices

3 Sales & Distribution Finance

• Track sales pipeline, revenue recognition

• Track sales performance against targets and provide variance analysis

• Track discount process for pharmacy business, sales team incentives

• Review sales with business by region, by super distributor 

• Timely cash collection from the customer and payment to the vendor

4 Cost management

• Provide insights on cost optimization and margin improvement – monitoring staff cost, TA/DA claims

5 Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

• Monitor and forecast short-term and long-term cash flows

• Optimize working capital by managing receivables, payables, and inventory cycles

6 Audit & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements 

• Timely regulatory filings

• Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely resolution of audit findings

• Maintain robust internal controls and risk management practices

Qualifications & Experience:

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with 4–6 years of experience in finance roles, preferably in pharmaceutical industry / supply chain 

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, inventory management, and financial controls

• Working knowledge of SFDC and SAP Inventory Management module, including goods movement transactions

• Proficiency in SAP systems and advanced Excel skills
