Job Description: 

Partners with Intel customers, ecosystem, and/or the opensource community to develop, integrate, test, tune, debug, optimize and differentiate software and/or hardware. Engages as a technical expert or trusted technical advisor with customers across disciplines such as Enterprise, Cloud, Telecom and HPC. Utilizes domain and market segment expertise to debug customer issues, collaborate with internal engineering teams for the best possible solutions. Evangelizes software tools and technologies to the ecosystem to enable and support Intel Ethernet products. Responsible for leading application pre enabling, product development, and/or product hardening to launch future products and provide customer support. May deliver collateral and training, including competitive/differentiated benchmarks, as well as may identify and drive key workloads into product requirements and landing zones. May involved in product improvements that minimize the need for explicit enabling and maximizes scale adoption.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher, in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering or a related field.

  • 7 to 14 yrs or more of technical experience handling customers and interacting teams from multiple organizations across geo is a must.

  • Demonstrated acumen in proactive problem solving.

Technical Expertise:

  • Experience in Linux Network Driver Development or Maintenance.

  • Exposure to virtualization technologies (VMWare, Kubernetes, Linux virtualization).

  • Solid knowledge and experience with any or more of the following:

  • Experience with DPDK, PTP, Synce.

  • Layer 2: STP, RSTP

  • Layer 3: IPv4, IPv6, OSPF

  • Security: IPSec, NAT

  • Exposure to various test tools and utilities such as IXIA, IxExplorer

  • Experience in the development background is highly preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities:


As an engineer your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively driving customer issues resolution.

  • Owns and communicates the customer problems; debug and triage issue, applies strategic thinking in resolution, interact and collaborate with peer teams and organization to find most suitable solution.

  • Facilitates cross function communication, collaboration, manages stakeholders.

  • Works with functional POs, dev team members.

  • Will develop collateral, guidebook; generate IP, application notes and white papers.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct customer experience will be valued; excellent and crisp communication would fit the role nicely.

  • Some travel (domestic & international) may be needed.
