As our Commercial Distributor Manager, you will be responsible for the execution of the business and commercial strategy in Algeria, managing the relationship between GSK and the Distributor in the territory..

You will support the pharmaceutical business, managing and developing the Distributor Accounts, educating, advising and motivating the channel to effectively conduct beneficial business through a new way of working.

Responsibilities:


This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

 

  • Implementation of the commercial strategy and operational deliverables in the market.

  • Execution of joint business plans with Distribution partners in their assigned territory.

  • Identification of key account priorities, drivers, barriers and needs, and align commercial strategy and business priorities accordingly.

  • Undertake qualitative and quantitative analysis for the assigned market in terms of potential size and share for the product, with the objective of maintaining/growing market share

  • Develop collaborative relationships with the Distributor (s) based on trust, openness, honesty, and transparency. Demonstrate authenticity, values and integrity.

  • Understand the key dynamics of the pharmaceutical industry, GSK, and assigned markets to identify potential value-added services to the Distributor(s).

  • Lead the day to day interactions with the distributor (s), supply chain & GMS, ensuring opportunities are quickly accessed & issues managed in an efficient manner, escalating as appropriate. Manage the expiry of goods in key accounts in line with GSK SOP.

  • Establish, coordinate & track Distributor performance against their business plan (targets, metrics/KPI’s), swiftly responding to emerging issues, taking timely corrective actions, and escalating issues when necessary. Supports the CCC process

  • Field visits: Wholesalers and pharmacies across the country, to collect insights.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Pharmacy, Life Sciences or a related field.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience managing pharmaceutical distributors, key accounts, or commercial partnerships.

  • Proven track record in territory or account management and meeting commercial targets.

  • Strong commercial and analytical skills, with ability to use data to inform decisions.

  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills; able to build trust and influence across stakeholders.

  • Fluent in French and Arabic; good English communication skills. Advanced proficiency in MS Office Excel and dashboard manipulation


Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • MBA or advanced business qualification.

  • Experience working with distributors in Algeria, North Africa or other emerging markets.

  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical supply chain and expiry management processes.

  • Experience with joint business planning and KPI governance.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with medical, regulatory, marketing and supply teams.

  • Proven ability to solve operational issues quickly and escalate appropriately.


Working arrangement:
This role is 80% field based, requiring regular field visits to distributor locations and key accounts across Algeria.
