Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for the Touchworks EHR system as outlined in the support matrix.
  • Deliver Tier II application support to Northwell Health physicians and staff using the Touchworks EHR system.
  • Adhere to incident and problem management processes according to the established support SLA.
  • Communicate with end users of the EHR system to understand their issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Participate in and support enterprise initiatives, including system upgrades, new integrations, and the configuration of new features.
  • Contribute to the analysis and design of system enhancements.
  • Create documentation for system configurations and workflows.
  • Write and execute test plans for unit, functional, and integrated testing as required, including plans for interfaces, system enhancements, workflows, and upgrades.
  • Assist in the analysis, design, configuration, build, testing, and application administration as needed.
  • Follow and enforce change management processes for all environmental changes.
  • Maintain documentation for all activities and project specifications, including disaster recovery documentation as necessary.
  • Perform systems administration tasks in Touchworks EHR, such as setting up new users, configuring workspaces, adjusting role settings, and managing e-prescribing enrollment.
  • Take complete ownership for the assigned tasks and timely inform the progress of the project / task to all stakeholders.
  • Provide support during the implementation of new facilities and ongoing operational support for each site.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors as needed for support and implementation.
  • Participate in a 24/7 On-call rotation for production support.

Qualifications:

  • BA or BS preferred or other relevant combination of training and expertise.
  • 2-4 years practical experience in providing technical support and maintenance.
  • Experience in clinical implementations, specifically ambulatory EMR applications.
  • Touchworks Enterprise EHR experience highly desired and is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Independent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • SQL experience preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize work appropriately.
  • Integrity and high professional, personal, and ethical standards.

Travel Requirements:

  • May require local travel.
  • May require other travel for business needs.

 

Working Arrangements:

  • Will require after-hours On-call support, on a rotation.
  • Work is performed in a standard office environment with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards.

Salary Range
$90,000$102,000 USD
