Job Description​

The Opportunity:

Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City is seeking a Supervisor of Cardiovascular Laboratory to join our team. You will supervise and coordinate activities of CV Laboratory personnel, while handling orders for diagnostic cardiac catheterization, interventional cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular interventions, and other procedures involving the cardiac and vascular system. You will utilize your experience and expertise to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high acuity environment.

Supervises 8 – 10 direct reports from the combined Saint Luke's and Saint Luke's North CV Lab Team.  Collaborates with the Saint Luke's Director of Quality and Safety Officer to achieve high standards of Cardiovascular Care, Environment of Care and Patient Safety.  Allocates 60 – 70% of time to nursing care.  Prepares and maintains multi-campus call and campus assignments.

The Work:

  • Serves as Operation Managers representative and assists the Operations Manager in performing the daily operation tasks of the Department
  • Maintains an active knowledge of the strategic plan and goals for the CV Laboratory and the Hospital
  • Actively supports and communicates the plan and goals to the CV Laboratory staff
  • Maintains open communications with the Operations Manager and Medical Director of the CV Laboratory
  • Serves as a resource to CV Laboratory staff

The ideal candidate has strong emotional intelligence and is capable of articulating policies and procedures to staff.
