Position Summary...

The Sr. Analyst, 3rd Party Gift Cards, will support Walmart Canada’s Financial Services team to provide leadership, insight, and expertise on the 3rd party gift card business. The successful candidate will be considered a subject matter expert for 3rd party gift cards to effectively advise Walmart category managers, the business and leadership. This role has direct P&L responsibility and reports to the Director, Gift Cards & Alternate Payments.

What you'll do...

  • Support leadership with the long-range plan for the 3rd party and prepaid gift card business.
  • Develop the business plan, monthly financial and any ad-hoc reporting to rally support for the business.
  • Collaborate with Walmart Associates, internal stakeholders, and external partners to unlock category growth and innovation (marketing, analytics, operations, customer care).
  • Monitor and optimize 3rd party gift card processes in store + online.
  • Guarantee flawless execution for all 3rd party and prepaid gift card programs in-store + online.
  • Own the strategic partnership with InComm and all other gift card partners to develop the relationship, unlock growth and align mutual interests.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews,  development opportunities, and the annual planning process to deliver results and size new market opportunities.
  • Lead the new projects and strategic initiatives for the 3rd party gift card program.
  • Negotiate marketing offers by securing card partner investment into key promotions and value adds on behalf of Walmart Canada.
  • Develop and maintain a full year marketing plan and lead collaboration with Walmart Connect Canada and the Walmart marketing teams and obtain necessary approvals..
  • Tactics include digital, in-store, out of home awareness, and more.
  • Secure buy-in to launch new card partner brands.
  • Develop and maintain planograms to aid the field in ensuring gift cards are displayed consistently across all stores maximizing sales and profit while also ensuring in-stock position.
  • Competitive quarterly analysis to guarantee Walmart Canada is abreast of industry trends and opportunities.
  • Act as first point of contact to manage challenges with card issues, inventory, merchandising, and replenishment.
  • Manage gift card customer support box and respond/resolve all inquiries + executive escalations.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education Required: University ·
  • Minimum Years of Relevant Experience: 3+ years’ work experience with 2 years in Product Management, Project Management, Marketing or Sales.
  • Knowledge of the financial services or payments industry
  • Proven self-starter with a demonstrated ability to take initiative, drive results and champion a project from conception through implementation and evaluation · Strong relationship management, business development and influencing and collaboration skills with internal and external partners · Strong oral and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to create and deliver effective presentations · Strategic thinker with a strong passion for understanding and solving customers’ need
  • Ability to analyze diverse data sets including key performance metrics, competitive data, and financial data
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously; identify key issues, prioritize next steps, and meet deadlines; project management experience is a plus
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

The pay range for this position is $74 000,00 - $101 750,00. Pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
