Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is currently seeking a Director of Global Supply Chain 1 for our Elkton, MD PS&C Business Unit. This position will report to the Weapons Division Sr. Director of Global Supply Chain.
The Northrop Grumman Propulsion Systems and Controls (PS&C) facility in Elkton, Maryland began solid-propellant rocket operations in 1948. Today, the Elkton PS&C facility designs, develops, and produces solid-propellant propulsion and ordnance systems in programs professionally managed for a wide variety of Government and commercial customers. The facility also serves as the hub for offsite engineering and test facilities in Ronkonkoma, NY, Palm Beach Gardens, FL and San Jose, CA.
Position Overview
The Director of Global Supply Chain provides leadership to, Material Program Managers (MPMs), Material Planners, Stores, Receiving, and Shipping personnel. The position will be responsible for evolving the supply chain structure, defining strategic objectives, and integrating the GSC strategy with the MP business strategic plan. The Director of Global Supply Chain is responsible for effective communication with the procurement team, improving supplier quality and on-time delivery, timely decision making, personnel development, effective management of MP and supplier resources, and embracing a continuous improvement philosophy. In addition, the director is responsible for all aspects of managing material and inventory on plant to ensure parts arrive in-time to support production schedules based on program/customer demand.

Primary Level Salary Range: $177,000.00 - $265,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
