About This Internship

Arch’s 10-week summer internship program offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands on experience in the insurance industry. It provides challenging learning experiences that serve as a foundation for interns to explore their career choices and to develop professional skills. Working alongside some of the most talented members of the specialty insurance industry, interns will gain relevant expertise in various aspects of the field, participate in learning activities and receive ongoing feedback.

About This Role

• Provide claims compliance support for Auto and Workers' Compensation lines across TPA Claims Administration, Technical Claims Office, Claims Operations, and Legal.

• Assist in Workers' Compensation audits initiated by the state; develop and manage Action Plans for TPAs; prepare regulatory reports and respond to claim inquiries.

• Conduct regulatory and statutory research related to Auto and Workers' Compensation claims, including claim handling requirements, carrier reporting obligations, and state bulletin reviews.

• Assist with product filings, update implementation tools, organize online files, perform regulatory research, and revise product training manuals.

• Support regulatory compliance functions for Consumer Product Business Units.

Qualifications

• Actively completing area of study in Pre-Law, Business, Finance, Marketing, Criminal Justice, or relevant program.

• Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher. 

• College level - current Junior or Senior student.

• Experience in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint.

• Exposure to Power BI preferred.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Entrepreneurial spirit along with the desire to be a continuous learner. 

• Team player who collaborates effectively.

• Self-starter who can work independently and deal effectively with multiple tasks/priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

Location & Work Arrangement 

• The program dates are June 2 - August 8, 2025.

• This position is classified as a hybrid position. You will work 2 days onsite and 3 days from home. 

• This position is located in Alpharetta, GA.

• Relocation and housing assistance is not provided for this role.

Timeline 

Arch summer internship positions will be posted from September 2024 and will be unposted when filled.  

Pay   

For individuals assigned to or hired to work in Alpharetta, GA, the hourly rate is $22-30 as of the time of posting. The breadth in the range exists to accommodate students in specialized programs such as actuarial candidates and graduate students. Any actual rate offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, along with the education & qualifications of the candidate. The above range may be modified in the future. Intern position is eligible for select Arch benefits.
