Job Description:

Pathologists' Assistant is a highly trained certified allied health professional who provides various pathology services under the direction and supervision of a pathologist. Pathology services may include the preparation, gross description, examination and dissection of human tissue from surgical or autopsy specimens.Education: ▪ Required: Bachelor's Degree in a Science related field Experience: ▪ Required: 2 years anatomic pathology tissue preparation ▪ Preferred: Completion of an NAACLS approved Pathologist's Assistant Program Skills: ▪ Strong mental and visual concentration. ▪ Good hand/eye coordination. ▪ Strong interpersonal skills with emphasis on communication. ▪ Strong analytical/problem solving skills. ▪ Ability to communicate effectively with different levels of management. Demonstrates clear verbal and written communication. ▪ Excellent time management, interpersonal, presentation, organization, prioritizing, decision-making, and planning skills. Licensure/Certification/Registration: ▪ Required: ASCP Pathologists' Assistant certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire
