Legal Contracts Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Legal Contracts Specialist to join our Commercial Legal Team. This role will support the team by managing communication with business stakeholders, handling legal inboxes and instant messenger channels, managing contract management automation efforts, and enhancing the efficiency of contract processes. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with a background in contract management and a strong understanding of legal processes. This is a non-attorney position. 

The Global Commercial Legal team is centered in Amsterdam, New York, and San Francisco, however as Adyen is a global company with offices, entities, and boards all over the world, you will be required to apply your knowledge globally. You have a passion for our business and you would like to contribute to ensure the further growth of Adyen.

 

What you will do:

  • Work closely with commercial legal counsel to improve contract management tools and implement best practices and assist in the development of new policies and processes to optimize contract administration.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to implement automation tools, and serve as a primary resource for contract management systems.
  • Act as a point of contact for business stakeholders, providing support on contract-related inquiries, monitor and respond to messages in legal inboxes and internal messaging channels, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Review, draft, and manage non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), providing initial assessments and recommendations.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions for sales and commercial teams on legal processes, contract management tools, develop educational resources and materials to support training and reinforce legal processes within the organization.
  • Stay informed on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and legal updates relevant to contract management.

 

Who you are:

  • Minimum of 3 years of contract management experience at technology companies or law firms, legal degree not required.
  • Analytical skill and project management experience.
  • A team-oriented style and ability to work in a distributed workforce.
  • The ability to meet deliverables on time and work in an evolving and growing environment.
  • Experience educating others on complex ideas (such as contract requirements), communicating them clearly, and providing training when necessary.
  • The ability to structure and prioritize in a high volume, fast-paced environment, and to build and drive processes to completion.
  • You are able to travel to other offices periodically.
  • Experience with Google Docs, Microsoft Office, and other contract management and legal department management tools
